Christmas cards turned into ornaments!

Some of you may have seen our “Christmas card ornaments” hanging on our tree this year. It’s a fabulous idea and a unique way to display your past Christmas cards. Not only can you use Christmas cards, but birth announcements or wedding invites are a great idea too.

You card is scanned and then shrunk to fit a miniature metallic metal frame with a glass covering and a ribbon for it to hang (front and back). Then wa-la you now have an adorable ornament to show off for next year.

Take advantage of the early bird special! Send me your favorite Christmas cards (or other cards) to be turned into special keepsake ornaments for you to display or give as gifts in 2012!

All cards received by Friday, Feb. 17th are only $23.00 each!!! After Feb. 17th ornaments are $30.00. You can either drop your card(s) off in my mailbox if you live near by or contact me for mailing information. If you have any further questions or want to see an ornament just let me know. I’ve attached a few pictures and posted them on my photography blog. One is a wedding pict and our invitation is on the back side. The others are past Christmas cards! This past year I got one of Cooper's birth announcement too, but forgot to take a picture of it before our tree was taken down :0

Sweet lil' Brooks. I took his newborn pictures back in September. My how time flies. I can't believe I am already taking his 6 month pictures. (back in March) Yes, I've been slack on my photography blog. sorry about that. I have more to post from recent shoots as well. Now that it's summer and I don't have to go to school surely I will have more time to post, right!?! :) Brooks was a superstar for pictures by the way!

Precious Payton

Long time no post -- way overdue to show off this precious little face! I was in Charlotte for our baby shower and had the pleasure of taking photos of Payton. Her sweet mommy is my dear friend. We played volleyball together in college and she was one of my lil' sis's in Chi Omega. We were in each other's weddings and are always wishing we could spend more time together. It has been so much fun to see Payton grow and become such a happy little girl. As you can see from the pictures below Payton's smile is contagious! Thank you Lauren & Chase for having me take pictures of your sweet lil' girl! ENJOY!

Andee Quilico - newborn photos!

Anderson "Andee" joined us on June 11th at 8:35pm. Weighing in at 7lbs, 9oz, 19.5in long to proud parents Steve and Leslie Quilico!!! Leslie and I are the very best of friends so needless to say I loved taking these photos and getting to visit with the Quilico's. They live in Colorado so I flew out for the week and had lots of quality time with lil' Andee! She is one sweet lil' girl. Just wish I could see them more. I truly enjoyed my time with them in CO and love seeing Leslie & Steve as parents. We had lots of fun trying on all of miss Andee's lil' hats and letting Steve enjoy laying in the grass with his precious family of 3! I might have gone a lil' over board on posting a "few" favorites, but just couldn't resist showing off this lil' beauty!!!! Enjoy!!!

Caleb & Will

Kudos to big brother Caleb! While mommy was feeding a hungry lil' Will, Caleb was pretty much a rock star in front of the camera! We went outside for a little bit and he was awesome! Mr. Will didn't want to miss out on anything so we didn't get many sleepy shots, but did capture some fun ones with Caleb and mommy!

Michelle and I work together so it's been very special to see her everyday throughout her pregnancy with Will and even better to meet him once we arrived. He was about 10 days old here. She also let me do announcements which maybe I'm biased, but are just too precious with both her boys! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Stella Mushegan that is.......sweet lil Stella at about 6 weeks old!!! She didn't want to miss out on anything at first and was wide awake moovin and a groovin, but after some persuading from momma Ashley off to sleep she went. Ashley and her husband Aram became the proud parents of Stella on March 23rd. Congratulations to such dear friends!!! Thank you so much for letting me take photos of your precious baby girl! Let me just tell you - these two precious girls deserve an award for doing so well on such a cold windy wintery day! (mom too) I was so excited to take their pictures because their sweet mom, Amy & I grew up playing tennis together. It was great to see her and meet her two sweet lil' girls. They were in the cutest outfits ever and we're so fun to play with. And of course sweet sister moments are very special to me! Thanks Amy!

Lil' Ava + Landry are just the best! This sweet family is very dear to Phil + I! We met Stacey + Brandon in our neighborhood through mutual friends shortly after we got married in 2007! Stacey delivered Ava a few days after we met her! Since then we have had the opportunity to form a special friendship with Stacey +Brandon, love on Ava, watch her grow into such a sweet lil' girl, and welcome baby #2 Landry! Unfortunatly, the Bowen's recently moved to Charleston. We miss them dearly, but are truly excited for their family + what God has in store for the Bowen's! When they were in town for Thanksgiving we were able to get together for this shoot! Thanks Stacey + Brandon for having me take pictures - I love our time together + look forward to seeing yall soon!

ahhh! Sweet baby Olivia! She was 6 days old during this photo shoot! She was an absolute angel! She slept the majority of the time, but when she was awake she was great too! A fabulous part of my love for photography is that I am able to connect with new families! I truly enjoyed meeting and hanging out with these new parents. They were so easy going and I loved watching them with their new baby girl Olivia! It was so special for me to be able to capture the newness of this lil' beautiful one.

I'm use to taking pictures of kiddos and families so this was fun to have the family dogs in toe! Ace & Zoie were great for our shoot - as soon as I would call their names they would look straight at the camera and "smile" :) Jennifer & Gabe were great sports as we kept their dogs happy. Thanks Everson's for letting me play with your sweet dogs and take photos of your lil' family!

Fall sessions will be $125 and will include:
-45 min session at a location of your choice

Two precious babies will soon be joining Justin, Brianne and lil' brother Xan! Haywood "Knox" and Henleigh Kate are scheduled to arrive Sept. 22nd unless they decided to come before that. We can't wait to meet them and love on them! We had a diapers and dessert shower for Brianne and her babies a few weeks ago! She received lots of diapers (which they will definitely need) and other fun outfits and items off their registry!

Triathalon - CHECK!!! Yes, that's right I completed a triathalon - well, it was a sprint triathalon so not a full one. I swam 400 yds, biked 13 miles and ran a 5K! (One of my best friends) Blaire & I crossed the finish line together at 1hr and 39min! yahoo! It was the Acworth Tri-Athalon on Aug.9th! I rocked the swim, could've gone a little faster on the bike, but I think I was trying to save my legs for the run and thankfully Blaire & I were able to run together which was a little extra motivation to cross the finish line together. We had our family & friends there cheering us on from each transition point and of course the finish line! As crazy as it sounds - I definitely want to do another one.

Lighthouse!

Lighthouse --- AHH!!!! You must read more about this organization - www.thelighthousefamilyretreat.org The Lighthouse allows others to serve children with cancer and their families at a seaside retreat helping them to laugh, restore family relationships and find hope in God. Our dear friends Kevin & Amber Price have served as volunteers for several years and always had wonderful things to say about it. The more Phil & I read about it the more we wanted to serve. We were in Grayton Beach for a week at the end of July with the most loving families and friends. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for about 200 people every day, we played beach Olympics, we had devotionals and sang praise songs. There was a talent show, movie night, and a date night for the parents! We loved on these families and helped them enjoy time together at the beach.

We were paired with another volunteer family - The Raney's (whom we quickly hit it off with). Us & the Raney's were paired with the Tate family. www.timewiththetates.blogspot.com Oh, how we love each of them. We were able to spend quality time together and take care of them during the week. Elena and Olivia are their daughters. Please begin praying for Elena and that her little body can beat this cancer! As her shirt said "Cancer picked the wrong diva!"

Needless to say we had an amazing time serving at Lighthouse and will definitely do it again. We were able to spend time with Kevin & Amber and their two kids (Mallory and Taylor - who are our godchildren), be at the beach for a week, meet wonderful new friends, and serve Him! It was very clear that God was at work during this week - restoring faith and providing moments to cry out to Him. We serve a might God!

Montana

At the beginning of July we (my parents & I) headed out west to hang out with my sister Carly! She lives in Bozeman and goes to Montana State Univ. We were out there for a week and were able to do a lot of fun things! We went to Glacier National Park, tubing on the Madison River, site seeing, farmers market, played games and spent quality time together in Big Sky! If you've never been to Montana - I highly recommend you go asap, however I'll warn you - you might not want to come back. You are surrounded by beautiful mountains, open sky and perfect weather (in the summer) :) It's so peaceful, clean and laid back! Carly was a wonderful host all week - taking us to the best places to eat, bike, walk, hike and shop.

In Bozeman they have a Farmer's Market every Tuesday night. Carly get's a booth each week to sell her fabulous jewels! Check out her site - www.crazymare.etsy.com She has a lot more that she takes to the booth than is on her site right now. She is extremely talented and I'm pretty much walking advertisement for her with all the jewelry she makes me :) thanks sis! Anyways - we were able to go to the farmer's market with her and help her sell her goods! It was great - an open air venue with many local artist selling anything from jewelry, pottery, and produce. They even had snowcones (ahhhh!) which I have decided has become extinct around here. (If anyone knows of somewhere around here I can get one please do share!)

Below are a few picts from the trip! The landscape shots don't even begin to capture God's beauty, but you can get a glimpse of what we were doing in Montana! The highlight of the trip might have been tubing, but unfortunatly we didn't risk taking the camera with us. We had a wonderful trip minus Phil not being able to join us. :( Thanks Carly and Mom & Dad for a great week with the fam!

Here is a fun lil' storyboard of my neice & nephew with our cousins from England. We had to break out the "lolly's" (popsicles) in order to get some happy faces. As you can tell it still didn't make Luke very happy. :0 Phil's aunt Jill, cousin Karen and her two kids (Luke and Rhiannon) came over for two weeks. We had a great time hanging out by the pool and spending time together. I must add that a kid with an English accent is just lovely! :)

Ashleigh & Joel ~ their wedding was May 30, 2009 at Tucker Plantation - right outside of Athens! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating and hanging out with friends! I actually took pictures at their rehearsal too which was a blast! Will post some of those later.

Martha & Will ~ they got married on May 2, 2009 in Clarkesville, TN. Martha & I are sorority sisters from college! She caught the bouqet at our wedding! :) Unfortunatly, Phil wasn't able to go with me, but I had a blast with a lot of Chi O's from Queens! Their band was awesome!

It was extra special for Phil and I because their wedding/reception was at the Old Decatur Courthouse which is where Phil & I were introduced at another wedding almost 6 years ago!!!!

Finally, back in the blog world. Sorry It's been so long. Let's see since my last blog Phil & I celebrated our 2nd anniversary!!!, went on a cruise (will post picts soon), celebrated Dad's reitrement, my sister was in town from Montana, I finished my Specialist degree, Phil finished paramedic school, we've gone to 5 weddings, and I finished another wonderful school year at EPMS! Needless to say, we are thankful summer is here! We've been sleeping in and hanging out at the pool! Phil has family in town from England for the next two weeks so we're soaking in as much time with them as possible.

As for pictures above - yahoo for Dad!!! He's officially retired and loving every moment of it! He & mom are on an Alaskaian cruise celebrating their 30th anniversary and his retirement! We are so proud of his hard work and dedication! We had a party for him at my parent's earlier in May! CONGRATS DAD!!! We love you!

Baby Troy arrived on March 4, 2009 at 3:24am, 7 pounds 11oz, 21 inches long! It was so much fun to take his new born pictures. He was only one week old! Proud parents are Lindsey & Dan Holzman. They live in our neighborhood and I went to middle school with Lindsey. Baby Troy is such a sweet baby...... I'm sure you will feel the same after seeing a few of my favorite picts!

Winter Break!!!!

Yes, that's right - we have winter break - a FULL WEEK OFF!!!! Phil & I decided to make a visit to CO and treat ourselves to a ski trip full of fun and friends! We went to Crested Butte - (or Crusty Butt as Phil kept calling it) to visit Cole and meet her b-friend Ian! He's wonderful by the way! Les, Steve & Blaire made the hike over to hang out with us! We had a fun slumber party and were able to ski a full day with each other. It was so fun to have us all together. Cole took us to some great local places and even had us over to her adorable lil' place for dinner! Phil & I skied three full days and it was awesome - even when I ate it several times (sad, but true). :0 Overall, we had a simply fabulous time. Here are a few picts to show from it!
